Drift is dangerous precisely because it is invisible at the frame level. Reviewed one at a time, every image passes. Played in sequence, the jaw has narrowed, the can has grown a millimetre and the key light has swung fifteen degrees.
Every gate we run exists to catch it: stack and flick for faces, silhouette overlay for products, one stated key direction for a set. The rule underneath all three is the same: compare against the locked reference, never against the previous frame, because comparing to the previous frame is how drift accumulates unnoticed.
How do you stop AI image drift across a series?
Lock a master reference before the set exists and generate everything from it. Then check each new frame against that reference, not against the last one you liked.
