REGISTER

A deliberate visual dialect: a decision about lighting model, edge quality and how much the world is allowed to be wrong.

Photoreal, 3D cartoon, storybook illustration, live-action pastiche. Each is a register, and the choice is strategic rather than decorative: it decides what the audience will forgive and what they will notice.

Registers are also the antidote to volume fatigue. A house style makes the second piece cheap and the fifth invisible. Fixing a list of registers before any frame exists is how a run of seven pieces stays recognisable as one brand without ever looking like the same advert twice.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK

How do you stop social content looking repetitive?

Decide the registers before production, not during it, and give each its own plate set and prompt vocabulary. Let the brand mark carry the continuity instead of the style.

THEORY IS FREE

Knowing the word is the cheap part.

Running it on a deadline, at volume, without burning the budget is the expensive part. That is the bit we do.
